Beirut Gardens B&B, Lebanon
Deceptively ancient construction is actually an homage to traditional Lebanese dwellings designed by a native architect to honor the rural aesthetic while creating an idyllic country escape.
Set slightly below ground level on staggered hillsides, the house is surrounded by gardens and evergreen forests and designed to seamlessly integrate into it’s environment.
The substantial stone architecture extends throughout along with classical archways and mosaics, clean lines and an uninterrupted floor plan.
Floor to ceiling windows and doors are positioned to take advantage of the best natural light and keep it bright but cool. The open plan living area features high beamed ceilings and a decorative stone fireplace that is the perfect gathering spot. Furnished lightly with a mix of native art and a few contemporary pieces, it’s uncluttered and simple.
The three bedrooms all come equipped with en suite baths and two feature private garden access, sleeping a total of six. Your hosts will provide a daily breakfast and can cater your entire stay if desired or you can prepare meals in the gourmet kitchen and eat on the garden terrace.
This is a peaceful and charming getaway with traditional Lebanese style and a contemporary perspective.
Wifi throughout. Breakfast included with additional catering available. Housekeeping and all amenities.
Less that an hour from downtown Beirut, you’ll be ensconced in the hill country of Mount Lebanon surrounded by forests and agricultural plains. The local village of Aabadiye is the largest in the Upper Matn but you’ll likely want to go to the coast and take in the hustle of Beirut.
