Located in Haiku on the island of Maui, you have immediate access to a magical area of rain forests, waterfalls and stunning coastline. Like most of Maui, the Haiku area is still a quiet rural and agricultural community. Just north of upcountry Makawao, an old “Paniolo” (cowboy) town and a short drive to nearby Paia and the North Shore beaches, this is the crossroads of upcountry and is a great historic district dating back to the 1800s. The north shore is a quieter part of the island but within easy drives to the famed Hana road, Haleakala National Park and Lahaina. Check out nearby Ho’okipa beach park and its abundant wind and waves and the north shore Paia beaches.
